A look back at a year that shaped Alaska politics

The date Aug. 31 is one that marked a major turning point in Alaska politics. One year ago today, FBI agents raided the offices of six legislators and VECO Corp., setting the stage for the biggest political scandal in state history.

In the past year, we have seen one former lawmaker convicted of felonies, three others scheduled for trial, and others seemingly implicated but not yet charged.
