Votes Against Veterans

Ted Stevens failed to ensure that our wounded soldiers receive the level of medical care they need and deserve. During the 109th Congress (2005 to 2006) alone, Ted Stevens voted to block efforts to provide more resources to veterans and for military health care five times:

• No on $1.5 Billion for veterans’ health care.
[Vote 41, U.S. Senate Roll Call Votes, 3/14/06]

• No on prioritizing veterans’ health care over millionaire tax cuts.
[Vote 15, U.S. Senate Roll Call Votes, 2/13/06]

• No on $500 Million a year for veterans’ mental health care.
[Vote 343, U.S. Senate Roll Call Votes, 11/17/05]

• No on mandating veterans’ health care funding.
[Vote 251, U.S. Senate Roll Call Votes, 10/5/05]

• No on $10 Million for veterans’ counseling.
[Vote 242, U.S. Senate Roll Call Votes, 9/22/05]
